Hepco and Becker Sportrack
on: October 16, 2021, 05:29:13 PM
Hi

Has anyone got the new sportrack for the 2021 R yet? Iíve got mine and it donít work or fit at all.

Has anyone had the same issue? It donít work like the old ones, you have to mount the plate to the bike then bolt the cover to the mount rendering the usb completely useless!
On top of that the bottom mount is too big to fit in the lock point so I forced it in past the plastic to try it and once youíve mounted the bottom plate the top plate is on top of the fairing, it needs like 20mm spacers between the two plates just to get it off the fairing
Well poor for hepco to be honest cause Iíve always loved their stuff

That is a big disappointment - I was holding out for one of those. Using loads of duct tape at the moment Ö  :034: - could you please post a picture ?

Yeah thatís the beauty! They are ugly but they (the old one) are the best luggage rack Iíve used, this one though donít even fit! So kinda defeats the object!
Iíll let you know what they say when I get a response

I've been looking for the same thing. Checked Hepco & Becker site today and found this. I think it's new. Is it the same sku# that you ordered?

On their youtube video, they demo one that clicks in like the stock pillion seat. Looks like this one has to be bolted in? WTF?

Thatís on the older gen bikes, the new s1000 is a fixed rack that renders the USB port useless!
You have to mount the base plate to the bike then mount the top plate to it
Nightmare!
