Hopefully picking up my 2017 s1000r during the week , just waiting for bmw to give it a service and check it over for its 2 year warranty . I live in Dublin and have had mostly blades , big bang r1 , zx10r over the years , but broke my collar bone in an accident 3 years ago . Then I went to a ktm 990sm and a speed triple after that , both lacking a bit of power , so looking forward to the s1kr

If you want a sports bike which is genuinely comfortable you will love your new 1000R.

As an ageing sports bike rider (56) I came from FireBlades, and I would now never go back, best decision Iíve ever made. Iíve done 250 mile days on mine with ease, Iíd never have done that on my Honda

Welcome to the forum.  I put 35k kms on my first S1000R commuting into Dublin, only 12k on my current one thanks to COVID, smashing bike. Best of luck with it  :002:
